This still life is inspired by the paintings of Dutch Golden Age Clara Peeters and Floris van Dyke. Both painted many still life works prominently displaying large cheeses.

I grew up admiring classic paintings, specially the Renaissance and the Dutch Golden Age periods.There is one particular feature of Dutch Golden Age paintings that led me to believe that I could try to reproduce them.
