Artist's Description
Inspired by Johannes Vermeer "Young Woman with a Water Pitcher" c. 1664-1665 (The Metropolitan Museum of Art, NY).
This is another Vermeer’s “still life”, or life still as the young woman looks like frozen, her gaze lost looking through or at the window. What is she doing? Looking at the stained glass work? A fly? Nobody knows.
