Artist's Description

Beatrix is at it again, she has seen her mother, Catharina Bolnes using a balance to weight coins when paying or receiving payment. Inspired by Johannes Vermeer painting "Woman Holding a Balance" c.1662-1663 at the National Gallery of Art, Washington DC.
